ABOUT
Artist Sera Iki Tanto, born in 1989.
Working closely with art from early childhood Sera chose textile arts in 2008. She studied textiles, clothing and the mystic arts of blacksmithing.
With her minimalistic art Sera simply presents the nature of her chosen material. She introduces color and texture contrast. When using henna and local plants as dye material she uses the element of surprise as a tool to achieve the desired result. Giving up full control over her art piece like this Sera underlines the importance of nature in human life.
Sera creates wearable art. She believes touch brings us closer to art especially when working with textile. The artist also believes in non-toxic world and makes an effort to make it happen.
Sera is now back in blacksmithing school to deepen her knowledge.
